OUR FOUNDER

ALLEN GERSTEL (1934-2010)

A Leader with a Lasting Legacy

Allen Gerstel’s love for old wooden barrister bookcases and book collecting led him into the furniture business in 1965. By 1985, he founded Gerstel Office Furniture, turning his passion into a business built on quality, sustainability, and service to the community.

His ability to build lasting relationships has created a company that has thrived for three generations, standing the test of time. Gerstel Office Furniture continues to honor Allen’s vision of providing businesses and individuals with a high standard of customer service while fostering strong relationships. His legacy lives on in the company’s enduring success and community impact.

LEADERSHIP TEAM


  • President & CEO

    Brain tagged along with his dad in the 1970’s and then joined the family business in 1985 after realizing this was his passion! In 2004, Brian became President & CEO of the company. His genuine approach has been instrumental in the company's continued success.

    Although Brian loves his job and working with his clients, his perfect day is typically on the golf course. 


  • Vice President & General Manager

    Bill has been a member of the Gerstel Office Furniture team from the age of four. He often visited job sites with both his father and grandfather and once in Boston instigated a snowball throwing contest with the team.

    Bill officially joined the company in 2009 and has worked his way up through the ranks to Vice-President.  


  • Director of Sales, Maryland

    Alyssa brings over 10 years of marketing and PR experience to the company. Her degree in communication created an easy transition into sales where she currently leads the Maryland sales team.

    On the weekends, Alyssa binge watches crime shows or searches for the perfect brunch.


  • Director of Sales, Virginia

    Larry Moore has been with Gerstel Office Furniture since 1998. From shop refinisher, to warehouse supervisor, he is well versed in modern furniture and now the sales lead for our Fairfax location.

    Before Larry joined our team, he played football at Potomac State College in West Virginia.

    Carlos has been a Project Manager at Gerstel since 2019. His dedication to customer service is unmatched. He brings heart, precision, and a problem-solving mindset to every project and customer.


  • Project Manager

    Doug has been with Gerstel since 1988 and is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and German. With decades of experience, he brings deep industry knowledge and a solutions-focused approach to every project.


  • Project Manager

    Armando has been a Project Manager at Gerstel since 2016. Once you meet Armando, you’ll realize he’s never met a detail he couldn’t handle while always keeping the big picture in focus.
